Wham, bam, thank-you spam

3 May

One of the hazards of blogging is the spam comments. So far, I’ve gotten them from websites featuring porn, information about penile implants and yeast infections. (Implants and yeast: A connection?) Then there were fairly innocuous ones, among them one in German that appeared to be advertising a blog-hosting site.

My favorite spam comment arrived today, purportedly from KitchenAid Appliances. The comment was in reference to my Creature Feature column about giving glucosamine to arthritic pets: “Keen article! Hope to get more info on this from you. Such a cool article. Thank you for the time you put into this. You’re a pretty good writer & vulgarizer.”

Vulgarizer?

A new kitchen appliance?
